Oman Fully Removes COVID-19 Travel Restrictions – A Vital Boost to Tourism

The Oman tourism industry received a much-needed boost with the country deciding to lift all COVID-19 travel restrictions, making it easier for tourists to visit this popular destination. As per the decision of the nation’s COVID-19 Supreme Committee on 22nd May 2022, the removal of restrictions means that those arriving do not have to take a PCR test on or before arrival; additionally, such travellers no longer need to download and use the Tarassud+ track & trace smartphone application.

With entry to the country having been made so easy, an increase in travellers is expected which will not only be beneficial to tourism but also to the national carrier, Oman Air. Those arriving have much to enjoy be it at an Oman business hotel or leisure resort with some catering to both types of travellers; these include properties like Anantara Al Jabal Al Akhdar Resort which gives guests a chance to experience adventures in the well-known Green Mountain.
