Oman Updates Traveller Entry Requirements – Two COVID-19 Vaccine Doses Needed

As part of an ongoing process, Oman has been updating its entry requirements for travellers as well. A key new measure was brought in from 26th December 2021; foreign travellers who were 18 years or above looking to enter the country, were required to have had a minimum of two COVID-19 vaccine doses. Additionally, only those who submitted a negative result of a COVID-19 PCR test taken within 72 hours before arrival were permitted entry.

Also, in December last year, Oman lifted the previous restriction for those travelling from Namibia, South Africa, Mozambique, Lesotho, Botswana, Eswatini and Zimbabwe. Additionally, as per the decision of the sultanate’s Supreme Committee, only those who were fully vaccinated could access private and public establishments.
