Ranked among one of the top Bali cultural events of the season the Ombak Bali International Surf Film Festival 2016 took place in the holiday isle from August 6th to 8th this year. The highly anticipated event not only brought some of the best work in the surf related film together in a single platform but also brought film lovers and surfing enthusiasts from around the world to the shores of Indonesia’s paradise isle to attend the coveted cultural event. Tourist based at Bali luxury villas in the area the likes of Alila Villas Uluwatu were also among the attendees to this free entrance festival. This was the 8th edition of the Ombak Bali International Surf Film Festival which started its run back in 2008 as the premier Asian platform to showcase surf related film, documentaries and filmmakers of the same. The 2016 event was no different with countless screenings, art highlights and musical performances taking place on the three days of the festival.
