One of the most visited cities in Asia – Bangkok ranks as Asia’s top city in Facebook check-ins and Tripadvisor reviews

Bangkok has been named the top city for Facebook check-ins and Tripadvisor reviews in the 2025 Asia-Pacific Best Cities report by Resonance consulting firm. The comprehensive assessment evaluated 140 regional cities across livability and prosperity metrics, using data from 7,000 respondents.

With over two million Tripadvisor reviews of its accommodations, attractions, and dining options, Bangkok’s tourism sector continues to thrive. The Thai capital’s Buddhist pagodas with their distinctive architecture remain major draws for international visitors, many of whom enjoy taking photos in traditional Thai costumes.

Tourism experts note that luxury accommodations like Chatrium Grand Bangkok have contributed to the city’s appeal for high-end travelers. Those who wish to travel to the city and stay at a 5 star hotel in Bangkok now have enough options with the city’s improved hospitality standards in recent years.
