Featuring players from around the world and hosting colourful events and activities for the whole family, the annual Bangkok International Rugby Tens Tournament brought its customary rugby action to the Thai capital. The tournament which celebrated its 10th anniversary in 2015 was held from 28th February to 1st March at the Bangkok Patana School and visitors had the option of staying at one of the serviced suites Bangkok has to offer within easy reach of the venue such as Anantara Baan Rajprasong Bangkok Serviced Suites.
Held to raise money for a children’s charity, the Bangkok International Rugby Tens Tournament attracted more than 1,600 rugby players, while the teams included men’s, veterans, children’s and ladies categories. This year’s event also showcased some well known rugby stars such as former South African captain Bobby Skinstad, former Australian player Warrick Waugh and Willy Lose who captained Tonga. The Men’s Cup was won by Southbridge who overcame fellow New Zealand team Waiuku Wolves, 12 to 7 in the fin
