The annual summit of the Pacific Asia Travel Association or PATA as its better known is set to take place in Sri Lanka’s beach capital Negombo this year. The 2017 instalment of the annual summit will be conducted at the Jetwing Blue with “Disruption. Innovation. Transformation: The Future of Tourism” serving as this year’s conference theme. The four day event at the Negombo beach hotel will take place from May 18th to the 21st and will include the PATA Youth Symposium as well.
Organized in collaboration with the World Tourism Organisation and the Lanka Convention Bureau PAS 2017 will also include the UNWTO/PATA Ministerial Debate in which tourism ministers will discuss potent tourism related dilemmas. The event will also serve as a catalyst to being new innovations and insights from industry leaders on tackling the major issues faced by governments and other service providers in developing tourism in the region.
