Passengers Allowed to Enter Abu Dhabi Without the Green Pass from February 28 – Curbing COVID-19 Restrictions

The Abu Dhabi Committee for Emergency, Crisis, and Disasters cancelled the EDE screening requirements and the Al Hosn green pass for passengers to enter the emirate within the UAE; this was made effective from Monday, the 28th of February this year. This move was undertaken by the committee in order to ease the restrictions pertaining to the COVID-19 pandemic.

This move, which was part of a slew of procedures, was carried out in order to allow tourists to enter Abu Dhabi from within the UAE, either to holiday at an Abu Dhabi resort the likes of Qasr Al Sarab Desert Resort by Anantara or business purposes. These procedures included removing of EDE screening devices that were at the entrances of Abu Dhabi and scrapping the green pass status. However, according to the authorities, travellers will still require the green pass in order to enter the public spaces in the emirate.
