Known as the Festival of Lights, Diwali symbolises the triumph of good (light) over evil (dark) and is a significant festival amongst Hindu devotees and Indians the world over. This includes the popular Thai beach destination of Pattaya where the city’s officials met together on 10th October 2023 to discuss how to celebrate the event in a special way this year. At the meeting were Mayor Poramet Ngamphichet and the President of the Thai Indian Business Association in Pattaya, Sukraj Singh Kalra, amongst other officials.
The Diwali celebrations are scheduled to take place on 18th November 2023 at Pattaya Beach, at the corner of Central Road near properties like Travelodge Pattaya. Those enjoying holidays here at such hotels near Pattaya Beach can easily visit this zone which will be open from 2:00 p.m. to midnight; it will feature a dedicated worship area for devotees looking to receive blessings from the Goddess Lakshmi, while DJ performances, a range of activities and food stalls will be on offer too.
