Pattaya Tourism Hoping to Recover – COVID-19 Vaccines Seen as Key

Hard hit due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Pattaya in Thailand is optimistic about turnings things around. As reported by the Pattaya Mail, the local tourism sector received some good news on 1st February 2021 which saw the removal of Chonburi travel restrictions following a previous shutdown. Both expats and Thais were seen at places like Jomtien Beach, while water sports operators were once again in operation.

In another development in February, the Thai government stated that tourism-dependent areas in the country such as Pattaya will be a top priority when it came to the national vaccination plan; this would include giving vaccinations to tourism and hospitality workers. It will be hoped that intranational tourists will soon arrive as well; when they do, they will be able to stay at a beach resort Pattaya has to offer for a safe holiday; this includes properties like Avani Pattaya Resort that are following enhanced hygiene and health protocols.
