Phuket Businesses to Pitch Tourism Development Proposals – Moving forward with internal infrastructure for the country

The Phuket Tourist Association (PTA) now has detailed proposals put forward by local entrepreneurs with aims to revitalise Phuket’s tourism aspects – including such measures as revamps to public transport, increases to international airport flights, transparent government support, and more. The PTA also states that the current tourism numbers for this year will hit 60-70% of pre-COVID numbers, and a projected increase to 70-80%. However, officials also noted that major countries, such as China, will affect hotel occupancy rates of many a kid-friendly resort in Phuket during the low season, as slow economic recovery still affects the market. This sort of impact affects properties such as Avani+ Mai Khao Phuket Suites & Villas, possibly signalling a need for such development proposals to be implemented.
