Phuket hotels association funds key scholarships for tourism professionals – Improving talent in the industry

As a demonstration of its dedication to the growth of local talent, the Phuket Hotels Association will provide financial assistance to associates from three hotels in Phuket. This will enable them to participate in five-week courses in Leadership, Finance, and Revenue. These programs, which are among the world’s top hospitality management courses, are being offered by EHL Hospitality Business School, which has campuses in Switzerland and Singapore.

The provision of scholarships represents an integral component of the association’s emphasis on education, which is one of its four key strategic columns. In light of the post-pandemic era, talent retention and development have emerged as pivotal concerns not only in Phuket but also throughout Thailand and globally. Following the allocation of these three initial scholarships, EHL and the Phuket Hotels Association will continue to engage in further collaborative efforts.

This approach will also benefit many a Phuket resort allowing properties like Anantara Mai Khao Phuket Villas to select from a pool of advanced talent when recruiting staff.
