Phuket Ramps Up Tourist Security Measures: Planned Ahead of Visa-Free Travel

Led by National Tourist Police Commander Police Lieutenant General Saksira Phueakam and Immigration Bureau Deputy Commander Police Major General Manat Sriwongsa, the delegation, which also included Police Major General Phopphon Chakkaphak, Commander of Tourist Police Division 3, convened to strategize and implement measures designed to bolster tourist confidence and safeguard the integrity of Thailand’s thriving tourism industry. This visit follows a recent national meeting, led by Police General Torsak Sukwimol, that specifically addressed tourist safety amidst a surge in tourist arrivals due to the government’s recently implemented visa-free policies. Visitors can enjoy their vacation with the comfort of knowing they will be protected throughout their stay, whether its via government principles or the measures taken when staying at Phuket luxury hotels the likes of Anantara Layan Phuket Resort.
