The Khmer Traditional New Year or more using the native term Angkor Sarkar is going on a grand scale this year! Big plans have been made to lure in more tourists to the area. The Union of Youth Federations of Cambodia has the idea of setting up an enormous Hanuman mask with the longest Cambodian scarf and over 30 other unique entertainment programs.
The Chairman of the organizing committee explained that all the aforementioned plans were to help the government secure art, culture and traditional practices of the Khmer people, the Chairman stated this at a press conference held at the UYFC headquarters.
