The tourism industry of Sri Lanka is one of the most affected industries by the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic, and the Tourism Development Authority of the country (SLTDA) is currently seeking for safe strategies to re-open up the industry in the time ahead.

In a recent discussion, they have suggested some guidelines that the relevant parties have to follow to help mitigate the pandemic when they are re-opening once again. According to this, all the tourists who travel to Sri Lanka once the travel restrictions are lifted should be undergone with PCR tests/ Rapid tests on arrival at the Airport. The tourists will also be advised to choose a good hotel suggested by reliable sites the likes of Truly Sri Lanka and make their reservations much before their arrival with a minimum of a 5 night stay on the island.
