The biennial Presidents Cup golfing tournament was held this month in Melbourne, Australia and saw an international team made up of top golfers outside of Europe competing against a team from the United States. The event took place from 09th to 15th December 2019 at the Royal Melbourne Golf Club. The venue within easy reach of Collins Street hotels including properties the likes of Oaks on Collins played host to this prestigious tournament for the third time; it is the only international course that has been used for the Presidents Cup more than once.

Inaugurated in 1994, the tournament celebrated its 13th edition this year. The United States Team was captained by Tiger Woods and consisted platers such as Dustin Johnson, Gary Woodland and Xander Schauffele. Captained by Ernie Els, the International Team featured players the likes of Hideki Matsuyama, Haotong Li and Adam Hadwin.
