Prophet Muhammad’s Birthday Celebrations in the Maldives
A significant date of the Maldivian religious calendar is set to arrive in the month of October, a spectacle for guests at top resorts in Maldives to see, offering a peek into the country’s celebratory nature in the face of annual events. Therefore, residents of properties like Adaaran Select Hudhuranfushi and other resorts will be able to witness the annual birthday celebration of Prophet Muhammad on the 8th of October 2022.
As a nation primarily devoted to Islam for over 800 years, the Maldives considers this day an occasion to colourfully dress the houses and streets while observing the day in prayer. It has also been a day to reconnect with family and friends over a friendly meal while sharing food with those who are in need of it the most.
