Protocols Updated for Travel to Oman – Struct Guidelines for Travellers

As reported online by The National last month, Oman has updated its requirements for those entering the country. At present, those arriving must have a printed result of a negative COVID-19 PCR test; this certificate is valid for 72 hours from when the test was performed. A COVID-19 PCR test will also have to be taken on arrival and this must be paid and booked in advance. Additionally, before travelling to Oman, one must download and register on two apps namely HMushrif and Tarrasud+ and after landing, quarantine and wear a tracking bracelet for a minimum of seven days.

Those from GCC destinations and another 103 countries are permitted to enter Oman without a visa though they must follow the procedures put in place. Apart from border controls, the country’s hospitality sector also has stringent protocols in place; be it accommodations in Muscat or Salalah hotels the likes of Al Baleed Resort Salalah by Anantara, comprehensive health and hygiene measures are being followed.
