It is exciting news for travellers to know that Qatar Airways has expanded its code-share agreements with Bangkok Airways by adding four new code sharing routes. This new agreement comes after a year of rapid growth across the globe for Qatar Airways. The ever expanding route network of Qatar Airways saw an addition of 12 new destinations last year together with capacity and frequency increases across the airline. The chief executive of Qatar Airways, Akbar Al Baker said that with the new international route launches, it has become a rapid period of expansion for the airline. He further elaborated that the inclusion of the new Bangkok Airways code-share destinations would further improve Qatar Airways’ competitiveness, while offering passengers an unmatched global network among the world’s leading airlines. The latest agreement will see improved options for Qatar Airways passengers with ten extra sectors added from Bangkok to Chiang Rai, Luang Prabang, Udon Thani, Nay Pyi Taw, Vientiane and Siem Reap together with Phuket to Kuala Lumpur and Phuket to Chiang Mai and Koh Samui to Singapore. Anantara Golden Triangle Elephant Camp & Resort is one of the popular Chiang Rai hotels that most Qatar Airways passengers opt to stay in when visiting Chiang Rai.
