Qatar Airways, the largest carrier from the Middle East is offering non-stop service from Doha to Thailand. Commenced on Dec 12, Qatar Airways flies to Chiang Mai four times a week. In addition, from Jan 28 2018, Qatar Airways will also fly to U-tapao in Pattaya. The Doha-U-tapao flight path will connect Qatar to Thailand with 5 direct routes.
Pattaya and Chiang Mai are two of the most popular holiday destinations in Thailand, mostly for Russians and Ukrainians. Peak season begins from November to March and those looking to stay at a Chiang Mai hotel should consider advance bookings as options such as Anantara Chiang Mai Resort tend to fill up during this season. Qatar is the first Middle East airline to offer direct flights to and from U-tapao.
Currently, the airline flies 35 times per week to Bangkok, 14 times to Phuket and every day to Krabi.
