Since the Maldives is one of the most exotic holiday destinations in the world, Qatar Airways has decided to make things more convenient. Recently, the airline began offering 3 flights per day from Doha to the Maldives. The chief executive of Qatar Airways, Akbar Al Baker stated that increasing the number of flights to the Maldives displays that the airline is taking steps to expand globally. Since the island is a mere 5-hour flight away from Doha, the airline is confident that the sales on airline tickets will increase since the additional flights have been scheduled. Also, the occupancy rates for accommodation providers in the Maldives such as Adaaran Resorts Maldives will rise. Many Maldives resorts will see an increased number of tourists from Qatar in time to come. Passengers are also promised a luxurious and comfortable flight in the latest A-350 aircraft flying to the Maldives.
