Quarantine-free Entry to Thailand for Vaccinated Travellers – A Major Boost for Tourism

In a recent update to Thailand’s entry requirements for tourists, the government declared that from 1st November 2021, fully vaccinated travellers would not have to quarantine on arrival; this was only for those arriving after having stayed a minimum of 21 days at one of 63 nations deemed as “low risk”. This included countries like Australia, the United States, India and the United Kingdom with travellers having a chance to enjoy holidays at major tourist destinations like Bangkok; city hotel options in the Thai capital like Pathumwan Princess Hotel provide safe stays along with easy access to sightseeing, retail and business hubs.

This new move followed the launch of the “Phuket Sandbox” scheme for fully vaccinated tourists in July this year that was subsequently also put in place in Krabi, Surat Thani and Phang-Nga. The further easing of restrictions for such travellers provided another boost to the local tourism industry and it’s hoped that arrivals will increase.
