Ras Al Khaimah Has a Record Year for Tourism in 2023 – Emriate Goes from Strength to Strength
Ras Al Khaimah, the UAE’s “nature emirate,” has capped off a stellar year for tourism, according to a report on the TTG Asia news website (January 16, 2024). The Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority announced a record-breaking 1.22 million overnight arrivals last year, representing an impressive 8% increase compared to 2022. Additionally, there was a significant 24% rise in international visitors showcasing the emirate’s growing global appeal.
This enchanting destination also witnessed a boom in special events, hosting the RAK Half Marathon, the 2023 WMF Minifootball World Cup, and the Exotic Wedding Planning Conference. These events, coupled with a 103% increase in wedding revenue and a 23% growth in MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) revenue, solidified its position as a diverse and attractive tourism destination. Complementing the many allures of the emirate is the presence of renowned accommodation providers for those in search of a Ras Al Khaimah resort to enjoy relaxation, nature’s beauty and fun adventures; this includes Anantara Mina Al Arab Ras Al Khaimah Resort which opened earlier this year providing travellers with an ideal chance to experience the best of the region.
