Resorts in Maldives Continue to Reopen in October

Strict Safety Protocols in Place

In a combined bid to promote tourism and in keeping with the reopening of the country’s international borders, resorts in Maldives have systematically been opening as well. This process which began in July has been continuing with more properties welcoming guests this October including Niyama Private Islands Maldives. Arriving tourists can rest assured that these resorts are following stringent health protocols that are keeping with guidelines from both the World Health Organization and the Health Protection Agency of the Maldives Health Ministry.

Amongst the measures that they must follow is to have a trained medical professional on the island who has the needed training and capacity to collect and test COVID-19 samples. While maintaining initiatives to ensure hygiene and enforcing social distancing, some resorts have a trained and dedicated COVID-19 task force which will liaise with the Health Protection Agency as well.
