Restarting Intra-provincial Tourism in Vietnam – Hoi An Amongst the Reopened Areas

A positive sign, intra-provincial tourism in Vietnam has slowly restarted giving locals a chance to visit other provinces and enjoy certain holiday activities. Provincial borders are systematically reopening including in the Quang Nam Province where destinations like Hoi An welcomed back visitors this May; home to a UNESCO World Heritage Site, beaches, pedestrian zones and accommodation options like Anantara Hoi An Resort, it continues to be a popular choice for holidays. Health and hygiene protocols are also being strictly followed including at hotels in Hoi An where guests can look forward to safe stays.

More destinations have begun to reopen including Da Nang, another well-known holiday hotspot that eased restrictions from 9th June 2021; beach access was once more allowed though at selected times. Vietnam’s Thua Thien-Hue province reopened for intra-provincial travellers on 11th June, while from 14th June, certain golf courses in provinces like Quang Ninh and Hoa Binh were also permitted to commence operations.
