Restructuring tourism for sustainable development after COVID-19 pandemic

Winning challenges

International visitors to Vietnam have decreased by 80% and domestic visitors by 50% last year when compared with 2019 statistics due to the COVID -19 outbreak. This information was revealed at a conference that took place in Hanoi last November mainly focusing on future aspects of Vietnam tourism.

Attention was given to diversifying the tourist markets while reducing the over-dependency on certain markets. Although international tourism has not been reopened yet in Vietnam, every Mui Ne resort including the popular ones like Anantara Mui Ne Resort is welcoming domestic travellers under the best health and safety practices. The conference participants also highlighted the timely need to stabilize the growth of domestic travellers as a remedy to face the global challenges and other events coming up.
