Robyn Stacey: Cloud Land

Robin Stacey is one of Australia’s professional contemporary photographers with tremendous creativity who is different from the rest in bringing the world outside into pictures in a totally different dimension using camera obscure method known as one of the oldest photographic techniques invented more than 1,000 years ago. However, she has reinvented this technique to portray her artwork turning entire rooms into the surface of a photograph, casting the view from the outside in. Just imagine that you have stepped inside an artwork or inside a camera. Think of how it would be like if you see your world turned upside down. You are going to discover a world upside down in an amazingly unique way at Cloud Land photographic exhibition by Robin Stacey which will be held from 18th of September 2015 to 3rd April 2016 at the Museum of Brisbane. Her artwork will bring to life some of Brisbane’s very familiar places, buildings and landmarks in a completely new way. Admission will be free of charge during the entire period of time the exhibition will be held. Her artwork will cover a wide range of different types of buildings including Brisbane hotel apartments as well such as Oaks Charlotte Towers reputed as an iconic building in the heart of Brisbane.
