A fun family event that showcased everything from livestock to cookery amidst a vibrant carnival like atmosphere, the Royal Adelaide Show 2015 took place from 4th to 13th September. This annual show was hosted at the Adelaide Showground which is a popular venue for many other events through the year. Travellers have the option of staying at nearby Glenelg holiday accommodation such as Oaks Liberty Towers which is within easy reach of the venue. Organised by the Royal Agricultural and Horticultural Society of South Australia, the Royal Adelaide Show 2015 also featured wine sampling, live entertainment, musical performances, fashion parades and plenty of pets and livestock. The show also had a number of competitions featuring horses and dog breeds, while other highlights included a ghost train ride known as The Spook, Concours D’elegance which was a parade with harness horses, pig racing, woodcutting and expert horsemanship as part of the thrilling Rooftop Express show.
