Royal Langkawi International Regatta 2016 – Setting Sail on Adventure

In what will be its 14th edition, the Royal Langkawi International Regatta will take place at the beginning of 2016 and will feature a wide cross section of teams from around the world. This well known regatta is scheduled to begin on 11th January and will conclude on 16th January taking participants to some truly spectacular backdrops and landscapes around the waters of Langkawi. The event will be based at the Royal Langkawi Yacht Club and those wishing to catch some of the action can find accommodation at Langkawi resorts such as Berjaya Langkawi Resort within easy reach of the club. The Royal Langkawi International Regatta 2016 is being organised by the Malaysian Sailing Association and the committee of the Royal Langkawi International Regatta. The event will feature races in a variety of categories and boat classes including IRC, multihull, sport boats and club vessels. The Prime Minister’s Challenge Trophy, Langkawi Sports Trophy and the LADA–IRC Challenge Trophy are amongst the top prizes on offer.
