Despite social media reports saying that this year’s Salalah Tourism Festival in Oman will be cancelled, the Dhofar Municipality has clarified that it will take place; this was highlighted in the online edition of the Oman Daily Observer on 6th April 2022. Additionally, while the Recreation Centre where activities are generally held will be closed, events will be hosted at various other locations. This annual festival usually takes place from 15th July to 31st August to coincide with the Khareef (monsoon) season; those planning a holiday here at this time at properties like Al Baleed Resort Salalah by Anantara can witness how the region is transformed into a green oasis and enjoy the cooler weather.
The Oman Daily Observer went on to further reveal that the festival events will be hosted at venues like gardens and parks as well as at natural attractions and tourist sites in Salalah; meeting venues can also be found at local resorts making it an ideal destination for those looking to mix business with pleasure and enjoy the Salalah Tourism Festival.
