San Fernando giant Lantern Festival

It is once again the time when the City of San Fernando comes alive with the colorful lights of the Giant Lantern Festival. If you want to have an unforgettable Christmas experience during your stay at Service Apartments Makati such as the Somerset Olympia Makati , then drive down to San Fernando City for the spectacular festival held every December. The Giant Lantern Festival was first held as a form of gratitude to President Manuel L. Quezon and the first family. The festival which sees colorfully lighted ‘parols’ of star lanterns carrying the message of light and hope is of such high importance that the city of San Fernando has been nicknamed the “Christmas Capital of the Philippines”. The highlight of this year’s Giant Lantern Festival will be when a 20-foot high colorful lantern will be lit at the Main Ramp of the Cultural Center of the Philippines.
