An Enchanting Event
An event held annually during the winter season, Sapporo White Illumination is when Odori Park and the main street through Sapporo gets adorned with thousands of twinkling Christmas lights, casting an ethereal glow to their surroundings. Sapporo has initiated this tradition in 1981, after which the other cities in the country followed suit with their own sparkling light events. The 2020 Sapporo White Illumination is scheduled to be held from 24th November until 25th December in Odori park within easy access to many Niseko ski resort hotel properties the likes of Chatrium Niseko Japan.
During this one month event, visitors can look forward to witnessing an enchanting winter wonderland, with over 520,000 lights draped over trees and other surfaces of Odori Park, creating a breathtaking atmosphere that emanates festive vibes.
