Second Phase of City Bus Service in Kandy Launched – Convenient Transport Options

In November last year, the Transport Ministry of Sri Lanka launched the Second Phase of its City Bus Service in the hill capital, Kandy. Operating under a “Park and Ride” concept, the second phase of this initiative saw super-luxury buses running via Kandy town from Kadugannawa to Galagedara. Such a scheme was earlier begun in the commercial capital, Colombo, and it’s hoped that it will ease vehicle congestion in the city by reducing the number of private vehicles.

This move will be expected to improve travel in Kandy and will benefit not only locals but visiting tourists too. Travellers can look forward to getting around much easier while on a stay at “Safe & Secure” certified properties like Earl’s Regency that will help to arrange transport and excursions. From such a centrally located Kandy hotel, Sri Lanka adventures in the mountains can be truly enjoyed and experienced.
