Qatar hosted this year’s UCI Road World Championships in the country’s capital, Doha. The grand event brought about the participation of over 1,000 racers from more than 75 countries worldwide.
With over 5,700 participants ranging from national federations and delegations to technicians and journalists, this large scale event has called for intricate measures to be taken in terms of security in the area.
Qatar’s Ministry of Interior has been highly impressed by the commitment portrayed by the championship operations room, ascertaining the security and safety of all participants of the event as well as the fans’. Banana Island Resort Doha by Anantara happens to be one of the many options that were made available to visitors looking for accommodation at a luxury hotel in Doha, during their stay for the championship event.
