Experience the cultural extravaganza called Seollal, one of South Korea’s most popular traditional events! Celebrated on the first day of the Korean lunar calendar, Seollal fell on the 28th of January.
Seollal celebrations are held all over the country but there are some that stand out of the rest. One is the fabulous “Seollal Feast” that is held at the Unhyeongung Royal Residence. The event will feature a variety of amazing displays of culture from fun games such as gulleongsoi; to ‘wish writing activities’ and “webtoons” (Korean web comics). There will be hundreds of tourists coming to take part in Seollol celebrations that finding a hotel or serviced residence in Seoul will be a difficult task. So best is to book one like the Citadines Han River Seoul in advance so you won’t be in trouble of being overbooked. The festivities last for four days at the Unhyeongung Royal Residence.
