Bringing to the stage some of the most iconic characters of a globally loved TV show, the Sesame Street Live performance took place in two venues in Sri Lanka this year. Answering the question posed in the show’s popular theme song, “can you tell me how to get to Sesame Street?” was made all the more easier with the Hill Capital Kandy hosting this popular live show at the NCID Mahinda Rajapakse Theatre in Polgolla. Those wishing to take in such performances can look to stay at Sri Lanka resorts within easy reach of this venue such as Mountbatten Bungalow of Theme Resorts & Spas.
The performance which took place on 14th February, 2015 was part of the “Elmo Makes Music” tour and featured larger than life characters from Sesame Street engaged in a variety of entertaining and educational musical numbers. Favourites such as Big Bird, Ernie & Bert, Oscar the Grouch, Cookie Monster and Elmo were present with some lucky audience members even getting the chance to meet these characters.
