With the COVID 19 outbreak in 2020, a decision was made by Seychelles to cancel all cruise ships. After more than a year, the government has decided to reopen its cruise ship season which will indeed be great news to all travellers. This decision will come into place in August 2021.
According to this policy, cruise ships with a maximum capacity of 300 passengers will be permitted to visit Seychelles. Once it’s implemented, all Seychelles resorts the likes of Anantara Maia Seychelles Villas will most likely welcome more guests and this will mark the beginning of a prosperous time for them as well. The government is still in the decision-making process and they are collecting insights from ship handling agents, health officials, and port authorities as to how to implement this decision while ensuring health and safety.
