Singapore Continues to Open Its Borders

New Travel Bubble Set-Up

Singapore is one of the few countries in the Asia-Pacific region that has put measures in place to facilitate cross-border travel with select destinations. The latest agreement was with Hong Kong and the two countries are expected to implement a bilateral air travel bubble in December 2020, paving the way for tourism to slowly begin. Travellers will have to follow strict guidelines and can stay at hotels in Singapore city centre including properties like Grand Park City Hall which are SG Clean certified and have effective hygiene and cleanliness protocols.

Hong Kong is not the only country Singapore has established travel arrangements with, though it is the first to allow leisure travel. It also has bilateral agreements in place with nations such as Malaysia, China and South Korea including reciprocal green lane options to facilitate business travel.
