Singapore Gears for More Tourist Arrivals

Borders Reopened for All Fully Vaccinated Tourists

A decision that offered a key boost to global travel, Singapore reopened its borders for all fully vaccinated travellers from 1st April 2022. Under this new framework which replaced the Vaccinated Travel Lanes (VTL) initiative, such tourists can enjoy quarantine-free holidays and safe stays at SG Clean certified 4-star hotels in Singapore; these include properties like Park Hotel Alexandra in the heritage enclave of Queenstown that have adopted stringent health and enhanced sanitisation protocols.

While there’s no on-arrival testing for fully vaccinated travellers, they must, however, take a pre-departure COVID-19 test within two days of them flying out. The previous designated VTL flights to the Lion City are no longer needed as well and those with a full dose of a COVID-19 vaccine can enter on any flight. Such tourists need not apply for an Air Travel Pass (ATP) or Vaccinated Travel Pass (VTP) for entry anymore, while the tourism sector received further good news with the lifting of the quotas on daily arrivals.
