Singapore Hopeful of More Arrivals This Year – Vaccine Rollout a Key Factor

With the ongoing rollout of COVID-19 vaccines globally, countries could ease up on border controls if a recognised standard of vaccine certification was in place to be used by immigration authorities; this view was expressed by Ong Ye Kung, the Singapore Transport Minister in an interview with Bloomberg Television. The minister further went on to add that certain travel corridors with other nations could materialise as more people receive the vaccination and regions become safer for travel.

Singapore will be hoping that it can set up special travel arrangements and green lanes which will encourage travellers from foreign destinations. The country has strict health guidelines in place encompassing local accommodation too; this includes hotels in Clarke Quay, Singapore which are SG Clean certified properties such as Park Hotel Clarke Quay which adhere to stringent hygiene and sanitisation protocols.
