Singapore Ready to Cater to Travel Demand – Positive Signs of Recovery

Singapore is prepared to cater to the demand for travel when it returns; this was reasserted by the CEO of the Singapore Tourism Board, Keith Tan. In a statement made in January this year, he said that while challenges and setbacks were to be anticipated during the recovery process, he was also, “…confident that the tourism industry has learnt from its experiences and is poised to recapture demand when it returns.” This bodes well for Singapore’s tourism industry which is looking to bounce back after the pandemic.

There are positive signs as well with the country launching Vaccinated Travel Lanes (VTLs) with other nations to offer quarantine free entry into Singapore to fully vaccinated travellers. Those who visit can also find accommodation at properties of reputable hotel chain in Asia that have stringent hygiene and sanitisation measures. These include properties of the Park Hotel Group that have been SG Clean certified, ensuring safe stays.
