Sirasa John Keells Vesak Zone 2017 – Sirasa Vesak Zone Lights Up Colombo Streets

The Sirasa John Keells Vesak Zone was successfully held at the premises of the MTV/MBC Head Office down the Braybrooke Street in Colombo-02. The Vesak Zone which was jointly organized by the Capital Maharaja Organization PVT Ltd and John Keells Holdings PLC was opened to the public for three consecutive days from May 10th to 12th. Devotees across the island, from all walks of life flocked to this venue which is located close to many a luxury apartment in Colombo such as the Capitol TwinPeaks. The Vesak Zone which is held annually to commemorate the three important stages of Buddha’s life exposed the relics of Sariputta, Moggallana and Arahants for the public to worship. Colourful pandols, stage dramas, dansals and lantern competitions were a highlight of this event.
