So Sri Lanka IRONMAN 70.3 Colombo concludes on a high note – The country’s biggest sporting event

The largest sporting event to ever grace Sri Lanka’s soil kicked off on the 24th of February and was largely a success. The competition saw the participation of over 739 athletes from 58 different countries, with family and friends accompanying the foreign participants in Colombo. Over 500 volunteers and 300 strong police force came together to make sure the event ran smoothly.

Connaissance de Ceylan and several other Sri Lanka tours provided by such companies came in handy to the families of the participants to get around the country. The Ministry of Tourism Development, Ministry of Telecommunications, Digital Infrastructure and Foreign employment and sports were among the many organizations that were pillars of strength in ensuring the event is a grand success.
