In March 2021, South Korea and Singapore entered discussions on beginning an air travel bubble that could potentially open the door for those from the two nations to enjoy quarantine-free visits. In a further development, in June this year, South Korea’s Transport Ministry was also pushing for those who had received two doses of the COVID-19 vaccine to be allowed to travel to countries on group tours; however, such cross-border travel was to be restricted to destinations that had effectively contained the virus and had the necessary pandemic control measures.
When such a travel bubble is established, visitors to Singapore will also be assured of safe stays be it at accommodation in Orchard Road or at a hotel in Farrer Park; properties here such as Park Hotel Farrer Park have been certified as ‘SG Clean’ for adopting comprehensive hygiene and sanitation protocols throughout.
