Special Packages in Oman for Staff Stuck Abroad – A Unique Option for Employers

As highlighted on the Gulf News website on 18th July 2021, travel agents in Oman are offering local employers a unique option to bring back staff stuck abroad; since there’s an entry ban for certain countries, this special package features a 14-day stay at a destination that’s not on the nation’s travel ban list. Following this period, such employees can then fly to Oman where they will have to undergo a seven-day institutional quarantine before being able to return to work.

While this option is relatively costly, it does provide a workable alternative especially to companies working on projects that require highly skilled personnel that can’t return due to the travel ban. While it will be hoped that Oman will soon reopen to more destinations, it continues to have strict health measures in place. This encompasses accommodation options including at tourist destinations like the Wahiba Sands; hotel options here such as Desert Nights Camp have adopted stringent hygiene and cleaning protocols ensuring safe stays for domestic and foreign travellers alike.
