Sri Lanka: a truly blessed nation with many health sector advancements – Towards healthcare tourism

Thanks to the free healthcare and education system in Sri Lanka ever since it gained independence in 1948, the country is blessed with the best health care treatments, be it Western or Ayurveda.  President GotabhayaRajapakse also has stated that one of his prime concerns will be focused to further develop the healthcare system in the country while promoting it among the other countries so that they can also feel the magical essence of them.

Tourists arriving in Sri Lanka for Ayurveda treatments has already become popular, and this has taken the importance that the indigenous medical centers and the professionals (Weda Mahattayas) were having in the society to a completely new level. Popular resorts, the likes of Heritance Ayurveda, have taken new initiatives to promote Ayurveda treatments, and these initiatives have been well-loved by the tourist community as well.
