Powering progress through innovation, sustainability, and collaboration

Sri Lanka’s ambition to become a premier Indian Ocean logistics hub takes centre stage at the Sri Lanka Economic & Investment Summit (SLEIS) 2025, where the ports and logistics session on 2 December will spotlight the theme “Building a Competitive and Climate-Resilient Ecosystem.”

Industry leaders will discuss how the nation can advance its logistics landscape through green infrastructure, digital transformation, and strategic partnerships. The session will feature insights from Tim Miltenburg of the Port of Rotterdam, a global benchmark in sustainable port operations.

Key panellists include Admiral Sirimewan Ranasinghe of the Sri Lanka Ports Authority, Ms. Shehara de Silva, Managing Director of McLarens Group Sri Lanka, and Ruwan Waidyaratne of Hayleys Advantis. Their perspectives are expected to inspire the next evolution of freight forwarders in Sri Lanka, as the nation drives towards a more connected and climate-conscious maritime future.
