Promoting wellness, culture, and long stays for seniors

Sri Lanka is stepping up its wellness tourism drive, with a special promotional event for senior travellers hosted by the Sri Lankan Embassy in Berlin on 15 July 2025. Held at the Hertha-Müller-Haus, the Explore Sri Lanka event highlighted the island’s appeal for long-term stays, Ayurveda treatments, and cultural immersion.

Experts shared insights on Ayurveda’s role in improving senior health, while cultural performances and cookery demonstrations offered participants a taste of Sri Lankan traditions. Attendees also enjoyed authentic cuisine, including rice and curry paired with Ceylon tea.
