Sri Lanka Decides to Establish Tourist Zones to Lure Oversea Travellers

Sri Lanka recently took initiative to establish tourist zones in a bid to anticipate more international travel in the months to come. A decision was made to set up these tourist zones in the most favoured tourist hotspots of the country such as Mirissa, Haputale, Nuwara Eliya, Yala, Bentota, Kalpitiya, and Ella. According to the Minister of Tourism in the country, the identification of tourist zones will help accelerate infrastructure developments and bring in more opportunities for investments. In fact, these tourist zones are expected to revive the battered tourism industry of the island and are considered a stepping stone to the promotion of sustainable tourism. If you are in Sri Lanka, luxury resorts like the charming Earl’s Regency Kandy would be an ideal example of how the tourist zones and the surrounding natural beauty are complemented by lavish abodes.
