Sri Lanka Eager to Collaborate With Bangladesh on Tourism – Joint Plans to Boost Economies

A delegation from the Sri Lankan Tourism Promotion Bureau recently met with an association of travel agents from Bangladesh, to discuss tourism promotion based on historical links and marine archaeology, as well as collaboration between the two capitals – stressing the importance of the promotion for both countries. This means that brands such as Aitken Spence Hotels can reasonably prepare for an influx of visitors from Bangladesh.

To this end, Sri Lanka is mid-effort to raise inbound Bangladeshi visitors to 25000 by the end of 2023, giving hope for resorts in Sri Lanka, and the representatives within Sri Lanka went on outlining the points of visa requirements and infrastructure for Bangladesh. Further, at the b2b networking session, it was suggested that the religious links between the countries would seemingly pave the way forward.
