Sri Lanka Envisions Further Growth in 2020, Hopes for more Chinese Investment– At the Verge of Economic Growth

According to Ajith NivardCabraal, Senior Advisor on Economic Affairs to the Prime Minister, Sri Lanka is on the cusp of experiencing a wave of economic growth as the country is ripe with opportunity for investors. The primary reasons cited for this are the myriad of long-term projects that are expected to be completed or are nearing completion in 2020 – ranging from new ports to modern transport infrastructure.

Cabraal specifically noted the investment opportunities available for Chinese companies, mainly in the hospitality and healthcare industries. Apartments in Sri Lanka are another possibility to draw in investors, as properties like TRI-ZEN may serve as an effective way for investors – both local and foreign – to enter the country’s property market.
